FamiliesAs Hilary wants to encourage families to stay at
Talbontdrain she is always keen to work out ways to make this
possible, beds can be squeezed into any room, we have tents that
you can use for children, and some have even slept in the barn.
There isn't a set price for children and it depends where they
sleep and what they eat, but that is always discussed when you
book, and it is always very reasonable. Please click here for full information on the rooms at Talbontdrain.Children can eat early
for very little, or can eat with their
parents and other guests and pay adults prices, or less
if they eat less. There are cots, a highchair and baby carrier
for your use. Hilary will babysit in the evening if you want to
go out, and with enough notice can organise childcare during the
day if you want a long walk.

It is
important to point out to those who like their holidays without
children that you should not feel excluded. Most guests in term
time are of the adult variety, and indeed, you are Talbontdrains
bread and butter, it's just that Hilary likes
to encourage families to come here in the school holidays.
DogsBecause
this is sheep country, dogs are not encouraged, as it is important
to keep on good terms with the neighbours. No dogs are allowed
in April during lambing. If you can guarantee that you will keep
your dog on a lead and that it will sleep in the car, then please ring and discuss.
If in doubt please ring, Hilary is not completely
inflexible on all this.
WalkersThe
house is geared up for walkers. There are easily followed walk
maps for hikes from the house, plenty of O.S. maps to borrow.
There are drying facilities and waterproofs to borrow. Hilary can
even meet you at the end of a walk if you don't want to do a circular walk.
She will provide packed lunches if you need it and
there is always a welcome cup of tea when you return. Sometimes
the dog will come too if you want the company.
